Abstract

9142. Savory, W. N. April 18. Aerated sprayers; nozzles for producing whirling sprays.-An oil-spraying nozzle is provided with two inlets 4, 5, for air or steam, and an inlet 3 for oil. All three supplies are regulated by devices external to the nozzle. The conical faces 11, 12 are grooved in opposite directions so that the oil and mixing gas are given whirling motions in opposite directions. The oil snpply can be still further regulated by the hand-wheel 9. The passage 8 conveys the injecting jet of air or steam.
