Clutches, claw.- In an advertising apparatus, a clutch is provided between the driving pulley and the main shaft which disconnects the source of power should a jam occur in the apparatus. The clutch comprises pins 30 on the pulley, which enter slots 31 in pivoted dogs 32 held in the position shown by spring-controlled levers 34 swivelling on a disc 33 fixed to the main shaft. When an overload occurs the dogs 32 are turned to the positions shown in dotted lines and the pins 30 rotate freely. The slots 31 are so shaped as to prevent the pins 30 leaving them backwardly, and studs 35 prevent the dogs 32 being turned over in the opposite direction, when the power supply is cut off.
