4279. Mesure, D. Feb. 20. Springs, arrangement of and mounting bodies on.-In an elastic suspension for the steering- wheels of motorvehicles, the front wheels are carried on pins 7 extending from a sleeve 6, which slides against the action of a helical spring 8 but cannot rotate, on a vertical rod 5 capable of being turned in bearings 3 on the frame member 1 by a rod 10 connected with the steering-gear. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 21,186/03, 11,526/04, 26,973/05, and 1073/08.
