2290. Eno, F. F. Jan. 28, 1911, [Convention date]. Metallic spring bodies and cores; tyre attachments to rims.-A flat flexible metal or outer rim 16 is supported upon tangentially-arranged helical springs 18 which lie obliquely and overlap. Each spring is held rigidly in an eye-bolt 24, which is placed at the centre of a spring and is adjustably retained in the felloe by a nut. A second nut 26 near the eye prevents the spring from moving. A rubber base 28, to which the tyre 32 is finally vulcanized, is secured to the rim by the heads 27 of bolts which serve to secure rigidly the ends of the springs.
