Paddle screw fans; casings; deflectors ; regulating.-A screw fan comprising blades 5 arranged between a hub 6 and a rim 7 delivers into a chamber 3 in which is arranged a shield or deflector 2. The fan is driven by an electric motor 15, and the openings 6' in the hub 6 may be regulated by a shutter. The shield 2 is adjusted by an arrangement of gearing 8, 2<1>.
