Liquids, purifying.-Relates to apparatus for purifying liquids, of the type in which gas and liquid pass in opposite directions through a vertical series of chambers, a central vertical rotating shaft carrying blades dipping into the liquid in each chamber. Gas enters at band ascends from chamber to chamber by pipes c, while liquid descends from pipes h. In each chamber, the central shaft carries a disk c, with a hood f over the gas-inlet c, and curved or inclined, or curved and inclined blades g dipping into the liquid. Inspection holes with covers j may be provided.
