Axial - flow type; blades, vanes, and the like. - Apparatus for utilizing the disturbances on the surfaces of lakes, seas, &c. comprises a chamber such as 1, Fig. 1, partly immersed and provided at the bottom with openings 2 so that the rise and fall of the water causes air to flow through the orifices 4 in a rotary member 3. Valves 5, some of which open in one direction and some in the other, cover the ports 4, so that the passage of air in either direction past these valves operates the member 3 in the same direction.
