Abstract
2127. Knobloch, J. F. R. Jan. 26. Turbines Tare operated by tidal action by mounting them in chambers K provided with sliding o r swing gates a, a<1> to alternately block the passages above and below the turbines. The Provisional Specification describes also means for regulating the level of water on opposite sides of the turbine chambers by a separate sluice chamber, and means for keeping the difference between the level of water in the turbine chambers and the lower level outside approximately constant by operating small additional sluice gates, or the main sluice gates, either by hand or automatically through the medium of floats.
