Abstract

22,015. Auger de Kernisan, J. L. M. Feb. 17, [Convention date]. Working-fluid supply.-Apparatus for utilizing the energy of the tides comprises two tanks 2, 3, the tank 2 being lower than the lowest high tide while the tank 3 is higher than the highest low tide; both tanks are fed by a zigzag channel fitted with sluices. The tank 2 is filled at high tide, and in ebb is allowed to flow through a sluice to the tank 3, which is shut off from the sea, the fall of water being utilized by suitable mechanism such as turbines 8. At low tide the tank 3 is emptied. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1615/82.
