Rolling. - In the pack-rolling of thin aluminium foil, the leaves are prevented from sticking together by a vapour or a little oil and a volatile solvent so that the pressure of the separating-fluid is insufficient to perforate the foil. The fluid may be introduced in liquid state and the pack heated to vaporize it. The oil adhering to the strip from the previous working is removed before the pack-rolling operation. The vapour may be introduced from a heated tube provided in the feed side of the rollers.
