Abstract

17,535. Aitken, H. W. July 29. [Addition to 4673/11.] Roller mills.-In a modification of the hydraulic pressure-regulating gear described in the parent Specification, the roll-housing cap A is made of increased depth and with a lateral aperture B between the king-bolts H to receive the laterally-removable hydraulic cylinder C and ram D, while the lower web of the cap is pierced to receive the distance-piece E acting between the cylinder C and the outer half-bolster F of the roll. The ram D engages a shallow boss G on the inner surface of the outer web of the cap. The cylinder and ram may be inverted.
