A press for whale blubber &c. consists of two rollers b, c having longitudinal teeth f separated by conduits g, which are deeper towards the ends cf the rollers than in the centre. The rollers have radial grooves, deeper than the conduits g, into which knives or scrapers d, e project to remove the squeezed material. The rollers may be hollow and supplied with heating-gases.
