21,127. Edmunds, H., and North, R. S. Sept. 25. Pneumatic-tyre pressure gauges.-An indicating - device for use with a security bolt, as described in Specification 10,612/11, in order to ascertain the pressure within a pneumatic tyre, has a spring-controlled piston 14, which is subject to the pressure of the air within the tyre by means of a rod 3, provided with a foot 5 in contact with the tyre, and acts on one end of a two-armed lever 20, the other end of which is provided with an indicating-segment 19 visible through an opening 18 in the casing. The stress on the spring 16 may be adjusted by altering the position of an abutment 17 on which the spring rests. The lower arm of the lever 20 is cut away so as to make line contact with the face of the piston, and the segment at the end of the upper arm is preferably painted in two colours so as to afford a signal that the pressure is above or below a predetermined amount.
