Abstract
19,760. Baum, F. G. Sept. 7, 1910, [Convention date]. Drawings to Specification. Transformers.-Air for cooling electrical appliances, previously saturated with water vapour or the like, has entrained therein by spray-producing apparatus a predetermined excess of water &c. in the form of minute particles, the amount of excess moisture being such as to be completely evaporated by the heatemitting parts of the generator &c., so that condensation does not take place within the machine. The cooling air, which is driven into the machine by a blower, may be drawn through a casing covered with coarse cloth, burlap, &c., upon which water is constantly sprayed by fine nozzles; a nozzle is directed towards the airexit pipe within the casing so that fine particles of moisture are entrained by the air rushing into the said pipe.
