Capillary-action lubricators. - A wheel for railway, tramway, or road vehicles is cast from manganese steel with two bushes c, c' of mild steel, separated by an oil - chamber b. A split spring ring d lined with a felt pad e is sprung into the chamber b, and oil is conveyed to the axle by wicks threaded through holes in the parts d, e. The ring d when in position is not in contact with the axle. The oil opening is cast with a bush g of mild steel.
