[Addition to 14,721/11.] Projectiles.-Relates to acetylene bombs, and consists in a bomb suitable for use with aeroplanes or other aerial apparatus. The shell is exploded by acetylene generated within the shell when a cock 22 is opened at the moment of launching. A valve 23 is opened simultaneously by a cam on the cock 22, and compressed air from a chamber 4 allowed to flow to a waterreceptacle 7 and to force the water into the carbide - chamber 8, sealing - disks 17 yielding under the pressure. A filling of shrapnel 29 may be disposed around the carbide.
