Abstract

13,402. Lucas, H., and Edwards, W. H. June 3. Brackets, adjusting and securing.-Comprises a bracket attachment for adjustably supporting a look-out reflector on a cycle or motor-cycle. The arm f carrying the reflector g, is pivotally attached to a bracket c by a sliding spring-bolt and is formed with a positioning-snug h which engages with notches formed in the upper surface of the bracket c. The bolt a passes loosely through the arm f which can thus be used as a lever, as shown in Fig. 4, to prise the snug h out of its notch and so allow the arm to be moved to a fresh position. A rotary catch i is adapted to engage either with notches in the bracket c or an inclined surface on the latter, so that the bolt can be held against longitudinal movement, thus locking the arm.
