Abstract

5258. Stephenson, E. March 2. Rolling-machines.-A roller machine for sheeting, crepeing, or similarly treating rubber, has a fixed bearing C mounted on the frame and an adjustable bearing D mounted on a steel tension-rod F, provided with a screw and nut J for varying the distance between the rollers. If desired, a spring buffer may be placed between the bearing D and the rod F. By this means, the frame is relieved of tension and the removal of the rollers is facilitated. Specifications 14,308/86, 5788/01, 2645/03, and 24,386/04, [all in Class 59, Grinding, crushing, &c.], and 15,425/07, [Class 12, Bearings &c.], are referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 700/90 and 9397/97, [both in Class 59, Grinding, crushing, &c.].
