In a roller mill having fixed and loose rollers 1, 2, respectively, and in which the bearings 3 of the loose roller are supported by levers 4, 5, the loose roller is acted upon by shafts 6, 7 which are eccentrically journalled at 8 so that they can rotate relatively to each other and are adapted to be fixed in such a position, by means of a screw 9, that the rollers 1, 2 are parallel. As shown in Fig. 2, an extension 10 of the shaft 6 lies in a socket 7a of the shaft 7, and the spindle of the screw 9 engages projections 13 of levers 11 screwed to the shafts 6, 7. The loose roller is adjusted relatively to the fixed roller by means of a device 10a, the shafts 6, 7 being rotated as one shaft.
