237,689. Sizer, A. W. June 4, 1924. Extrusion machines of the worm screw type are provided with ball or roller bearings C, G for the driving shaft D. The bearings are housed in cylindrical extensions B, E of the machine frame, which are closed by metal rings H, J and packing rings h, j. A ribbed plate K prevents the escape of material from the hopper A into the bearing C.
