Abstract
27,087. Wittgenstein, L. Nov. 22. Working-fluid supply. -A screw propeller for aerial machines consists of a radiaHy - armed motor, in which the arms A are formed hollow and carry at their outer ends a series of combustion chambers C, provided with exhaust nozzles c, to which gas or vaporized fuel is fed by the tube a<2>, air being drawn in through the openings a'. The tubes a<2> may extend the whole length of the propeller, or only part way, as shown.
