Levels.-A spirit level adapted to be fitted upon a finger of the user comprises a stock or work-engaging member 1, a ring 2, a base 3, and a pivoted frame 4 carrying the spirit tube 5. The ring 2 is provided with a liner 16, which, in order to fit different sizes of fingers; is split. at the bottom and there provided with lugs 17, with which screws 18 engage. When the device is to be used as a plumbing-instrument, the frame 4 is turned at right-angles to the base 3 and stock 1. The frame 4 is retained in its respective positions by spring catches 12, 13.
