[Class 21] A tilting-appliance for casks and/or other containers or the like comprises a lever 10 pivotally mounted at 9 on a fixed framework 8, pulled downwardly at one end by a spring 11 which may be assisted by a weight and bearing at its other end by ball bearings 3 on the cask &c. so that as the weight of the cask &c. lessens tilting occurs. A detent for holding the tilting lever while a full barrel is being positioned is provided.
