Abstract
8282. Dittmar, C. April 6. Catches, spring; locks, pin-key.-The fastening comprises a frame 3 secured to the trunk-lid and having downwardly extending projections between which is pivoted a spring-controlled catch plate 8 adapted to engage a cross bar 11 on a frame piece 4 secured to the body of the trunk. The top portion of the frame 3 and the operating part 9 of the catch are of oval formation. The catch is locked in its fastening position by means of a turn-button 20 carried thereby and co-operating with a slotted plate 17 secured to the frame 3. The turn-button 20 is operated by a flat key, the end of which is adapted to engage slots 22 in a disk 21 mounted in a recess in the catch plate 8, two other slots 22<a> in the disk engaging projections 23 on the turnbutton. A disk 26 retains the parts in position.
