Abstract
1788. Smal, P. Jan. 23, 1909, [Convention date]. Cylinders. -Relates to terminalexhaust engines provided with special clearance chambers, of fixed or variable size, which are put into or out of communication with the cylinder when the engine is working without or with a condenser. The chamber 10 is provided with a piston, the position of which is controlled by a hand-wheel 12. The chamber 7 is of fixed capacity, and is put into communication with the cylinder by means of a lift valve 8.
