1489. Bray, A. Jan. 20. Incandescent gas burners. - The ornamental part D of an inverted incandescent gas lamp is made of porcelain or the like with a gold, bronze, or other untarnishable finish harmonizing with the rest of the burner. The part'D is seated on the gallery-support B and its upper end abuts against a flange C<1> on the bunsen tube C. The gallery-support B and the mantlesupporting extremity C<2> of the burner are threaded for attachment to the tube C. Alternatively, the mantle-carrier and the bunsen tube may be in one piece, in which case the nipple E is provided with a projection to engage the top of the ornament D.
