Abstract

25,874. Carpenter, C. C. Nov. 20. [Addition to 5289/09.] Incandescent gas burners.-In a modification of the burner described in the parent Specification, the burner is connected directly to the nipple by a bayonet-fastening. Laterally-projecting pins b, Fig. 1, on the nipple may engage bayonet-slots d, Fig. 2, in the burner tube or vice versa, and the nipple and the burner tube are retained in engagement by a spring g, Fig. 1, inserted between a loose collar h and a lock-nut e, which secures the nipple on the supply-pipe.
