Incandescent g a s burners.- An inverted burner comprises a mixing-tube a, a casing b, and a deflector c, each in a single piece of refractory or other material, and rigidly held together by screwing the nozzle portion e into the mixing-tube. The casing b has a flange g which rests on arms f on the mixing- tube; or projections on the casing may bear on a ring on the mixing- tube. The deflector c has arms i which rest on the casing b, and a tongue m which fits in a groove in the mixing- tube. The parts are assembled by inserting the mixing-tube a into the casing b from below, placing the deflector c in position, and then screwing the nozzle tube e into the mixing- tube; then a flange l on the tube c holds the parts in place.
