Abstract

9379. Shaw, E. J. April 21. Gaseliers.-Relates to gas pendants such as described in Specification 8344/12, in which gas passes from a vertical pipe k, through a head or union c, down a tubular arm b, around a gas ring a having a cock g, up another arm b to the union c, and thence to an inverted burner i having a globe. The shade d is now attached directly to the gas ring a, which may be of oblong section, or of D-section with the flat side outermost. A by-pass j is supplied direct from the head c. The burner is preferably of the kind described in Specification 10,284/08. In a modification, two burners are each supported by an arm b, and gas for each burner passes from the union down a third arm, around part of the ring (through a gas-cock) and up another arm to the burner. Each burner-supporting arm is plugged between the central union and the burner, and a by-pass leads from the arm between the union and the' plug.
