Actuating valves and cocks.-In a combined gas and water valve apparatus for water-heaters of the kind described in Specification 23,457/07, where the flow of water when turned on actuates the gas-valve, the casing of the apparatus is made in sections a, b, c, d. The rod q upon which the water piston k and gas-valve l are mounted is spring-pressed by a spring p, the tension of which can be regulated by a nut t. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 23,491/97 and 5238/99.
