Clutches.-In clutch devices for motor-vehicles, of the type described in Specification 1825/08, the driven part B of the main clutch is connected to the driving-shaft A of the variable-speed gear by a claw clutch a, b<1>, the clutch part a carrying a cone part a<1> adapted to engage a cone b on the part B to bring it to the same speed as the shaft A before the claw clutch is engaged.
