Upon placing the cover in position, the voltmeter is connected automatically between the bus-bar and the contact c so as to record the voltage of the dynamo charging the battery when the dynamo switch is on. By pressing the pushbutton l<3> the voltmeter is cut off from the dynamo and connected with the battery.
