6697. Hunt, E. W., and Moscrop, W., [trading as Hunt & Moscrop]. March 20. Singeing.-A singeing-machine is adapted for either plate singeing or gassing by providing, in connexion with each burner, a revolving solid rod consisting either of a copper tube on an iron shaft, or a solid copper rod, and means whereby the rod may be secured over the burner for plate singeing or removed for gassing. The rod is slowly revolved by pulleys or suitable gearing. The fabric passing over the rod may be also directly acted on by the flame to give a combination of plate and gas singeing.
