Abstract

3063. Schubert & Co., M. July 20, 1908, [Convention date]. Sliding sashes in one plane.-Relates to sashes guided by pins &c. working in g r o o v e in the frame so that the sashes may be moved from one groove to another, both sashes being in the same plane when closed. The grooves b<1>, b<2> are continuous, and the guiding- devices d<1>, d<2> recede into the sashes when pressed against the edges of the grooves, so that the sashes may be moved from one groove to the other. The guiding-device shown in Fig. 3 comprises a vertical roller 1 supported in a yoke 2 pressed outwards by a spring 4. In a modification shown in Fig. 4, a projecting guide 1<1> yields in the direction of the arrows 7 about a vertical axis against the action of a spring 4<1> coiled on pin 3<1>, the ends of the spring being held in brackets 6 formed on a plate secured to the sash stile. The stop-bead h may be hinged to allow the sashes to be swung inwards.
