Sashes balanced one against the other.-Relates to windows comprising a pair of sliding sashes c, d, balanced one against the other by cords b passing over pulleys a, the window sill being provided with a draught rail e. According to the present invention, the pulley a is enclosed in a casing comprising a curved portion a<1>, and a plate a<2>, welded or otherwise secured to the portion a<1> and provided with screw-holes a<4> and cord holes a<3>.
