Abstract

7062. Trow, G. H. March 24. Hinged sliding windows; sash-cord attachments.- The sash-cord attachment on the opening side consists of a forked plate 5 which holds the knotted end of the cord, and the hinges comprise sockets 11 on the frame and pins carried by members 13 pivoted to a plate 12 let in flush with the sash stile. The beads are detachable and are secured in place by the engagement of studs on the beads with keyhole slotted plates on the frame. All the fittings are so arranged that when not in use they are hidden from view and protected from weather.
