Abstract

27,418. Jenner, C. V. H. Dec. 12. Hinges.-Relates to hinges for hinged sliding window sashes. In the arrangement shown in Figs. 6 and 15, the hinge member B secured to the edge of the sash stile a<7> is provided with a swivelling flap b<1> which is engaged by the member b<2> on the hinged stop bead by means of a detachable pivot pin b<3>. The member B is provided with a recess to accommodate the flap b<1> when closed. In a modification, the hinge member b<2> and the hinge by which the stop bead is secured to the frame may be combined to form the hinge shown in Fig. 8. In another modification, Fig.18, double jointed hinges a<11> have flaps provided with headed studs a<10> which engage keywayed plates a', a8 secured to the inside face of the stop bead and to the edge of the sash.
