Abstract

Cans etc.; bodies; handles.-Air and liquid tight cans, canisters, drinking-vessels, boiling-pans, and vessels for milk &c. are provided with a drawn or stamped lever-lid fitting into a seamless collar part or neck a', Fig. 3, wheich is of the same diameter as the upper part of the body A and is secured thereto by soldering &c. The collar part has an outwardly-projecting flange or bead The can &c. may have a fixed handle or a detachable handle B, Fig. 3, or c, Fig. 8, made of spring steel and having claws b<1> to engage the edges of the can. In another modification, the handle D, Fig. 6, has a claw b<1> and claws b' which engage the rim of the can. In a further modification, the claw b<1> is dispensed with.
