29,349. Chamberlin, H. E. Dec. 17. Sugar-basins; jugs.- Consists in permanently attaching the fitments for enamelled sugarbasins and jugs without solder, after the process of enamelling. Fig. 2 shows a cream jug, in which the rim of the opening has a curled or horizontally disposed flange e; and a ring c, to which the lid and the handle may be attached, is placed over the flange and secured by parian or like cement h. The lower part of the handle may be secured to a ring fixed to the bottom of the vessel in a similar manner; or the handle may have a hollow part adapted to be passed over a flanged projection on the vessel; or the lower part of the handle may merely rest against the vessel.
