Abstract

Dampers for controlling superheaters; sinuous - tube superheaters.-A damper, for regulating the passage of the furnace gases through a superheater arranged between the tubes of a water-tube boiler, consists of a number of louvre plates 1 adapted to be opened and closed from the front of the generator by a rod 5. The plates are pivoted in lateral supports 2, and each of them is connected to a vertical rod which is moved up and down by the rod 5, acting through a lever 4.
