10,311. Lake, W. E., [Metal Cap Co.]. May 12. Capsule closures and the like.-These are formed from a single flanged blank shaped as in Fig. 2. A slit 14 is made and a part 20 is turned down to form a lip 21, Fig. 5. The separated part 15 of the flange is then contracted against this lip, a loop 17, Fig. 3, being formed. This loop may be turned down as at 42, Fig. 8. A washer 29 may extend over the edge of the bottle neck as shown. The centre of the capsule may be indented or raised.
