Abstract
23,090. Compagnie des Bouchages HermÚtiques Simplex. Dec. 15, 1905, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Capsule closures.-Relates to a closure for vessels having conical mouths. A cap 8, containing a washer 3 and having depending tongues 9 indented at 10, is placed upon the mouth of the vessel 4. A metal ring 6 is then forced down on the capsule 8 until its inturned edge 7 engages under the tongues 8, which are thus forced against the walls of the vessel 4. The washer 3 is pressed down on the mouth of the vessel by the same operation. The inturned edge 7 may be formed, or further turned in, in applying the closure. The closure may also be applied to receptacles having their own covers, in which case the centre of the cap 8 is cut away, and the joint is made between the cover and the receptacle.
