Capsule closures.-Relates to a closure for bottles, jars, flagons, pots, drinking-glasses, &c. A cap c, containing a washer b and having a corrugated edge d, is placed upon the mouth of the vessel a. A metal ring e is then forced down over the capsule c until its inturned edge f engages under the edge of the capsule c. The corrugations d are thus closed against the side of the vessel a, and the washer b is pressed upon the top. The inturned edge f may be formed, or further turned in, after the closure has been applied. The closure may also be applied to receptacles having covers, in which case, the cap c is cut away at the centre, and the washer is placed between the ordinary cover and the receptacle.
