16,795. Raynesford, M. R. July 22. Bench fittings.- A stop for a carpenter's bench has arms 6, 7 pivoted at 8. The arm 7 is provided with a jaw 9 and threaded stud 10, on which h a cam 11 operated by a handle 12 is mounted and secured by a nut 13. The other arm 6 has a lug 14 adapted to be engaged by the cam 11. To hold the board 15, the stop is passed through the apron 1 of the bench and the strip 5, and the cam is turned ; the arms 6, 7 are thereby bound tightly in the strip 5, and the board 15 is gripped between the apron 1 and the jaw 9.
