Incandescent gas lamps of both the upright and inverted types have the inner end of the burner tube rigid with the air. inlet sleeve, which is swivelly connected with the gas-supply nipple in such a way as to limit the rotary movement of the air regulator. The burner tube b is rigidly connected to the air-inlet sleeve c, having air inlets c', and is swivelled on to the gas nipple d by a set-screw e engaging in a circumferential groove d' round the gas nipple. The air-regulating sleeve f with registering openings is provided with a slot through which the set-screw e passes, this slot being continued only sufficiently far to allow the sleeve f its necessary motion. -
