Counting - apparatus.-Electromagnetic counters consist of a softi r o n base - plate having formed integral therewith or secured thereto one or two cores A<1> and a standard A<2>. Pivoted to the baseplate at B<2> are two arms B<1> carrying an armature B which, when the magnet is energized, moves against a spring C in a plane at right-angles to the axis of the cores. A screw A<3> is provided to act as a stop, and the armature carries a pawl B<5> operating a counter.
