Loom stop-motions.-In warp stop-motions provided with the usual detectors, feeler bar e, and rocking shaft f, the latter is rocked by an arm g loose on the shaft, a link or rod g', and a cam or eccentric. The outer face of the boss of the arm g is formed with a V or other cam-groove or recess, in which fits a corresponding projection i<1> on the spring-pressed hub of a lever i splined to the shaft f. When the free oscillation of the shaft f is prevented by a fallen detector, the projection i<1> is forced out of its groove, the lever i is moved laterally and, by means of a link m, a lever n pivoted on a stud n<1> on a bracket n<2> is rocked. A slotted lever p, pivoted on a stud p<2> on a spindle r, is thereby moved into the position shown in dotted lines, so as to be in the path of the lay sword. The lever p and spindle r are thereby rocked, and by means of a lever s and link t the shipper-handle lever u is actuated and the shipper handle x pushed out of its notch to stop the loom. The lever p may be provided with an adjustable screw or spindle to form the part struck by the lay sword. The strap h surrounding the cam may be made in two parts to facilitate adjustment and turning.
