Incandescent gas lamps; globe holders.-The annular space between the burner mouth and a centrally-placed deflector d<1>, Fig. 2, is subdivided by concentric rings c<1> or a spiral strip, the width of the passages formed being preferably not more, and their depth not less, than one-eight inch. The rings c' may be supported by forked lugs d, resting on a shoulder in the mixing.tube and formed by bending parts of the deflector d<1> outwards. When supporting the globe frombelow, radial arms e<4>, Fig. 5, fixed or movably carried on the central gas-supply pipe e<6>, are formed with bent ends for engaging with or guiding the globe into its central position. In order to enable the globe to be lowered, its holder E' may be carried by telescopic tubes F having co-acting flanges f, f<1>.
