Abstract
21,459. Kramer, E. Oct. 21. Inverted incandescent gas lamps; air supply; gas supply.-In inverted incandescent gas lamps, having a bell-shaped casing 3 round the mixing-chamber, and a cap 4 for holding the globe and shade, the outlet 13 for the waste gases and the inlet 20 for the air supply to the interior of the casing 3 are placed at opposite sides of the lamp. The bell 3 is secured at its upper end to the burner tube, and is riveted at its lower end to the cap 4, which is itself screwed at 5 on to the burner tube. The gas supply is regulated by two flat-ended screws 15, 16.
