Leathers or sweat bands; ventilating. - The leathers or sweat bands of hats are made of less perimeter than the crown of the hat, and are connected thereto by a tape with openwork spaces. The flexibility of the leather due to the above construction enables it to conform readily to the shape of the wearer's head. In Fig. 2 an ordinary leather A is shown secured to a crown C by a tape B provided with openings b. Other forms of openwork tape may be used. According to the Provisional Specification, this construction aids ventilation.
